Service & Calibration
We pride ourselves on servicing and make sure every aspect of a machine is working to the best it can and will be for many years to come. A normal Service & Calibration would include:
- Standard Service as per our schedule.
- Squareness checks & adjustments.
- UKAS Re-verification using equipment traceable to UKAS Laboratories.
- ‘CHE’ Calibration with equipment traceable to National Standards.
- Issue of Calibration Certificate.
Generally if we find small problems with the machine whilst servicing i.e.(blocked air bearing) we would normally rectify this within our preventative maintenance service schedule. However, the customer would be advised of major issues and quoted for any rectification work.
Repair & Overhaul
We realise when your machine breaks down it can be a major headache that’s why we keep a comprehensive selection of spare parts in house, also in some instances we can provide loan equipment whilst we repair a faulty item (if it can’t be repaired on site). We have full bench repair/test facilities at CHE.
CHE specialise in full machine overhauls and have performed many full re-wire, re-pipe and upgrades onsite and in our workshop, bringing new life into older CMM’s that may have been poorly maintained in the past. This is also followed up with advice to customers on day to day maintenance and air filtration issues etc.
Machine Relocation
Together with our preferred specialist machine transport Keith Rhodes we have decommissioned and moved many machines around the UK and Worldwide. Air suspension curtain sided trailers ensure your CMM gets to its new location in good condition and rest assured CHE will have used the manufacturers shipping brackets (as necessary and where available) to hold the machine in position. All machines are fully protected with packing throughout. International transportation may have bespoke crating supplied to satisfy export requirements.
